BK’s original signature Schmitt Stix pro model was first released in January of 1988. This re-issued classic 7-ply maple deck compliments the look and feel of that deck with the original gargoyle graphics drawn by Jay Henry. The idea for this skateboard graphic was based on a photograph shot by Bryce Kanights in San Francisco which was submitted to Paul Schmitt in 1987.
Lifeblood’s BK gargoyledeckmeasures in at 30.5″ L x 10.25″with a 15.5″ wheelbase. It’s constructed onPS Stix’s Z-16 concave and mold to allow for a modern ride and makes it easier to pickup the nose. However, when you look down, it’s the same exact classic 80s shape from years ago! The nose measures at 4.125″ and the tail at 6.75″respectively.
A limited quantities of these decks with green, lime, and orange gargoylesmatched with three complimentaryveneers (orange, green, and back – top and bottom) have been produced for this special summertime release. Each of these decks has been numbered and personally signed top and bottom by Bryce.
Takethisskateboard to the streets, walls, backyard pools, schoolyards, jump ramps and mini ramps for which it was originally intended – and have a blast! Of course, it will also look great hanging on your wall as an art piece added to your collection before or after you’ve skated it. Your choice – skate the world!
